This photo shows the placement of my encaustic piece, Thistles in the Pasture in the Octagon Center for the Arts 41st Annual National Exhibition in Ames. I was at the opening reception last night. An excellent turnout of around 200-300 people. I shot this photo after almost everyone had left. People were so crowded together in the two galleries that it was impossible to get a photo of my piece without people in the way earlier in the evening. The show is excellent encompassing many types of media. It runs through April 5.
